Open Horizons - Strength and fragility
Strength and fragility
The exhibition consists of 10 pictures, the motifs are from old fishing villages in the northeastern part of Norway. My impressions in the meeting with history and nature are reflected in these pictures.
Strength and fragility may be seen as a comment, but also as a question. What is strength? What is fragility? Maybe it's not so obvious, after all. Who is strong, he who confronts his weakness or he who denies it?
Young birds are fragile, on the birdmountain the kittywakes are nesting on shallow shelves along the vertical edge. The arctic skua or other birds can catch them there, they can't get a hold.
An eg is often fragile - but it can also be incredibly strong.
There
are mountains that cracks and scrap iron from the war that breaks apart
from rust. It was'nt as strong as it seemed. The eagle is a symbol of
strength has been threatened by poison in the environment in Sweden and
other countries.
